Radaza Should Answer The Charges

What Lapu-lapu city Mayor Arturo Radaza should do is answer the corruption charges being hurled at him by businessman Efrain Pelaez. Instead, he unleashes "attack dogs" on Pelaez, questioning his motives and reputation. He then tries to shore up support from his barangay captains and various cause-oriented groups.
As long as Radaza hems and haws, flips and flops and tries to do everything except face the accusations head-on, he looks more guilty as each day passes.
Radaza promised to answer the charges in the "proper forum.". Meanwhile he uses his minions to write letters to editors to place Pelaez in a bad light, even raising counter charges such as evading taxes in not so proper forums.
Let us, for the sake of argument, say that Pelaez is one of the worst persons you can ever meet, Radaza still has to answer the charges set before him. Throwing mud and tantrums is not going to get him off the hook, nor is it going to endear Cebuanos to him.
Worse, it’s going to show potential investors that Lapu-lapu city, and perhaps the whole province, is run by tyrants who bully businessmen that don’t stand for corruption.
